Waterdroplets in Life…

Told ya that April was a bad bad luck month for me!  My mum went to pray at the temple for me as well as for our trip to HK and indeed..its really blessings from above….i managed to get a ring 5minutes after my mum’s visit to temple which ultimately leads me to my job and the Typhoon bypassed Hong Kong.  Really a blessing that it changed its course to Vietnam and not Hong Kong!

SHOPPING SHOPPING AND MORE SHOPPING was expected in HK BUT….MY DAD …sighz…pain in the neck to travel with daddies…they just cant wait for you to shop….and all he wants to see is buildings, temples, etc…BORING! Luckily we forced him to visit disneyland with us…it small but fun for the whole family…especially the Lion King LIVE SHOW! Well, nevertheless, we managed to go to a few tourist spots:

1) Woman’s Street

2) Man’s Street

3) Victoria’s Peak (Half of it only!…Kanna cheated by some city tour!)

4) Disney Land

5) Giant Buddha (Cos of the Typhoon…we only saw Buddha’s lotus seat, legs and hand!)

Went to Hong Kong to collect my appointment letter from the Hong Kong office as well..its really convenient to travel round HK…dats why I and my sis went shopping on our own….

Back from HK now and its back to my new routine in life….courses on tues and thurs…hip hop classes hehehe…next…i wanna go back to my kickboxing classes…hip hop (old liao…cant memorise the steps!)

Will not be having a trip in the next few months prbably…but might be going to Australia with sampat in September!!! Heheh..CANT WAIT!

I got a shock when i looked at my profile today!  Someone has "imposterized" as me and changed my profile!!!! Grr…IF I KNOW WHO THE PERSON IS…I AM GONNA…

Well, its been some time since i last update my blog…those who saw my MSN nick….yes..I am going to Hong Kong…its been such a long time since we had a family trip….and first time i am planning it! Hehehe….Wo Zhang Da Le!

No easy to plan…you got to find best package, hotels, flights, location, itinery, bla bla bla….hopefully i can find my dream job again and plan for the next trip to Australia with Ming Ming….Sampat..I try my best K?  Give me a deadline til end of June before I confirm if we’ll be able to be travelling buddies…:)

Ok…gotta rush my last report to my Finance Controller who is leaving Microsoft as well…sighz…I’ll miss him…He has been very nice to me for the past 6 months…and the nice colleagues there…i’ll miss all of you….may you all wish me well on my next part of the journey…

Not forgetting…MOM…Happy Mother’s Day…Hope you like the sunflower…may your life be like the sunflower…forever be sunny and be brighten up with smiles…:) Thanks for everything…Cheers to all the mommies in the world!

IT IS 3AM AND I CANT SLEEP!  Any cure for insomia?

Its been a drag in my career life…sighz…

Well, lets not brood over such entangling issue and let me tell you more about the latest chill out place over at end of Pasir Panjang Road….and the its near my DREAM HOUSE TOO!  Before i go on about my dream house…lets tell you about this pub: HOO HA!

It has this Western cum Asian cuisine PLUS…Romantic lighting around the open air area…alfresco style yet a little bit of country…Rating: 6/10.

Guess what? French 2002 red wine at only $38! Check out the photo:

My dream house….Freehold condominium at only 650K!  Sighz….if not for my wavering career objectives…i would have bought the place!

Will be watching Take the Lead this weekend and check out another new chill out place…will tell you more again!

Took up hip hop classes at Studio Wu…well…its only $200 for 3 months!  My mum gonna nag me if she knows I am spending again!  Sighz…it is not as xiong as my aerobic classes BUT…it is real tough to memorise the dance steps…GAMBATE!  Will try to practice my steps and hopefully by the 3rd or 4th class..the steps come naturally rather than myself looking like a robot!

It was a real tiring day yesterday….No where to add value for my EZLink card around Kent Ridge or Pasir Panjang!  I walked for approximately an hour before finding an ATM and 7-11!  GOSH…However, it was an interesting walk around the Pasir Panjang estate and saw Murano…looks like an interesting place to get a house since Haw Par Villa is nearby, the Pasir Panjang Village is also nearby…best of all..my tuition kid house is also nearby….

My new tuition kid….Pri 2…very cute…Mother is a Thai and dad is Australian…Well, she failed her math papers and did not want me to look at them!  Well…all in all..nice place, kid…and did i mention…nice place?

Sighz…the summit event drained out all my energy last week.  Stayed 3 days in Changi Village Hotel…(revamped Meridien)…excellent food, view and hotel room…except for the staff service…i’ll rate this hotel 2.8 out of 5 stars.  Was suppose to have a pool side event ….great view BUT…we can’t fight against Mother Nature….yes..it rained!  What a pity!

My General Manager gave me a SPA Voucher…will be going back with my colleagues one day to try out the Spa…:)…Heard from the Malaysia manager that transvetites massaged for him…he totally freaked out! Hahaha…

After a tedious 3 day event…back to office on Friday afternoon to prepare the reports..Kaoz…my computer totally hanged on me after leaving it to rot for 3 days!  After spending so much time automating the reports..in the end i still have to do it manually..so much for IT!  Afterwhich spend the whole weekend with my family…:) and YES…I finally purchase SKII products!  Just after 2 days of usage..my face glowed! Miracle water!  The mask is really good except it is too sticky and watery!  Even my eye area (skin firming gel) seems to firm up after 2 days!  Lets not set too high an expectation..i am going to give this products another week or two before i give my final rating…:0

Well, the system has been clogged up the whole day and it took me 6 GOD DAMN Long hours to run a simple report!  And another asshole breathing down my neck for the reports…i was thinking to myself..blame it on the stoopid systembut hey..HE managed to run the report in 5mins…but why is it that the other guys in my team was not able to run it then?  God knows…

Just took a glance..the report is still retrieving from the system.  Meanwhile, here’s an update on my sleepless weekend as well….

Friday night: Went out shopping with my colleagues at Bugis new shopping mall…ICON…Well not very impressive..most of the shops does not have ATM and they are real small…some do not even have a fitting room.  Nevertheless, being shopping freaks, we spent 2 hours in the 5 levels of shops.  Next stop…DINNER at Sake Sushi…Pancy paid the tab…hehe…followed by withdrawing money from Pathetic whole bugis only ATM and run across the busy road to rush for the last 15min buys…after we are satisfied, we went for dessert…i had a cup of BIG Strawberry mmilk shake

Saturday: Having migraine….been trying to sew my cross stitch..such a small coaster and took me a week to sew it!  Prepared to go play pool with Jem and Heng but stoopid migraine wun go away *Just took another glance…report still retrieving*….so i had late lunch and ate a panadol…rushed all teh way from clementi to Tampines to play pool.  Heng and Alan wasn’t there..sighz…so Dearie and I played with Jem and Sel Sel…:) …Interesting game…and the LPPL joke…6PM…Time to go to Pasir Ris Chalet…gosh…feeling a little itch on my throat and not really feeling well…but with such a nice crowd..you juz cant help feeling good.  Great BBQ…Especially the marshmellows…hehe..but after the BBQ…i had 2 pimples coming out of my cheeks…sighz…Will organise a girls out manicure party the next time round..hehe..any recommendations?

Sunday: AM..After BBQ..cant sleep…watch TV til 5am…woke up at 1pm..deariez watching TV and kept nagging me to go for lunch…went to clementi central…made my glasses…bought some groceries and went home to watch TV…did some housecleaning, dear played games….then we went jogging together and walked to have dinner at the end of the reservoir.  End of dinner…we had a romantic walk back and continue watch TV…hehe…sweet Sunday…we talked of how in future our family outings on Sunday will be like…his son will be parachuting and bungee jumping while daughters cycling and we? We busy looking after his brats…he would call them…:)

Monday: Black monday has come…time to talk to my boss regarding my career path….My manager is very very very nice…so understanding…we managed to come to an agreement that i’ll go into office 3 days…so sweet!  Well, gotta think of how my future path will be like soon….at least ricebowl is still stable for the next 6 months or so…since my ricebowl is saved…its time to spend more money on dance classes!  Heheh..Pauline, Cyndy and I wanted to sign up for this Studio Wu Girls’ Hip Hop classes…will be checking out tomorrow and if possible start classes in 2 weeks time..hehe..Finally…

Took another glance at the report and is still retreiving…better sleep by 5.30am..or else i cant wake up tomorrow!

I have so many things to say but whenever i start blogging, the ideas suddenly..*poof*….gone?!?

Marketing Gimmick

Do you still remember the days when SMU was being put down for its marketing gimmicks? And guess what, do you realise nowadays that when you flipped through the papers, SMU ads seems to diminish and other ads from similar calibre seem to increasingly appear? I even see them at the bus stops ads post!  Now lets see who have the last laugh.  Do not seek to put down ideas cos now u are the ones who are using them!  This reminds me of a lecture that Thomas Menkhoff told me during Knowledge Management.  My group has 6 peeps.  One of the guys who is a year one was kicked off since our senior mentioned that there was too many people in the team.  Headcount: 5. 3 hardworking peeps and 2 SUPER LAZY peeps, you should know who i am talking about…if i still remember their names correctly: Efrem and ..whoever…They are the ones who talk talk talk and does not take action.  After 3 weeks of struggle, my group members decided to tell our professor that we can survive w/o the 2 of them.  He cleverly tell us: do not strain the relationship cos you might not know when in the future you might need them.  AHHH…Lecture on relationship building/networking…ooopss…digressed too much!

New Movie

Decided to catch a movie on Friday night…been such a long time since me and ric go watch movie alone..Well, Lido is still a nice place to go too…spacious enough for my long long legs

The movie is quite refreshing and FUNNY..especially when you need something to perk up your day..not exceptionally good…but hilarious…especially the chipmunk cream, gecko bites and laughter and the vegetarian dolphin

Went through my handphone and have a few pics to post up regarding the MOS night makeup preparation..hehe  ..The one on the right is my own attempt on the smoky eyes effect..but not as good as Cecilia’s professional makeup skills…:)

Sighz…beginning to miss the daily breakfast i have with dearie…Yummy….its 1.17pm…time for lunch too..and FACIAL!!!

YEAH…..My general manager is out of office for overseas work matters for TWO WEEKS!!! YIPPEEE!!!  Celebrated her birthday on Monday…came to office at 7.30am just to deco her room and to arrange for the cake…Eunice and i had a great time decorating her room…Although I am of not much help…

It was a slacker week sia…All week i have been automating the SEA reports….excel, access, more excel hangs and access, excel hangs, now..even my MS word hangs!  Problem: Open too many applications?

Finally done my APAC and SEA Standard Operating Procedures and passed them to my manager.  Excellent work done…good to see him impressed. Well, i still think I don’t have a business mind…not analytical enough..and do not grasp the business well..anyway…hope my dreams to be a teacher will come true…have applied and awaiting for replies from MOE.  Meanwhile, work with Microsoft is confirmed til April and may pass off as part timer with SEA Director for some sales kit…hope everything runs well.  Hope the HR can assist in this part :).. need to prepare for my RELC EPT Test….sighz…bad english..have to read more books and not comic books!

Surprising news this week from Jeremy that he actually reads my blog..hehe…well…good news from him..he will be in the insurance line..I’m sure he can do it!  Another good news from Dimerco colleagues: Chalet on April Fool’s Day!  Cant wait to see all of them again…and yes…our monthly gatherings are successful and have been executing for the past 5 months consecutively (Dec-Apr)?

Had a great lunch with my MS Colleagues on Tuesday…so much gossips…The best thing about MS though is its flexibility in working hours, we can work from home, come in office at 10pm or after lunch…but also meaning that you can work on weekends since you can work from home right?  Well, like Ric always say, you have to pay a price for such flexibility.

Finally….TGIF….Thinking of clubbin..but tomorrow i be going for my facial appointment…hmm…probably, go back and rot? Or should i go get my sports shoes? Been contemplating to get one since January….sighz…

Still another 45 mins before i knock off, waiting for the reports to run…some many reports…is this how big organizations work? Reports, reports and more reports?  Any views?

Went to MOS yesterday and check out the Lamborgini parked just outside…GOSH!  Well, it looks good but it is not comfortable to sit in…like what my mum will always say: Looks good but not nice to eat

MOS is considered ok only.  The R&B is super squeezy and the music is only nice for about half an hour.  Followed that we went to the main hall for mixture of music, retro, commercial music, etc.  Retro room - I and Ming will definitely not go in…reason is simple: We are still not eligible! Hahaha….Trance is terrible, so we stayed in main hall and on top of the stage..hehe…GREAT DANCE MOVES and finally after some time..ming can dance for more than an hour! heheh..We’ll dance til 5am next time..and i’ll make sure i wear the RIGHT BRA next time!

Went for my body scrub and steam bath today…refreshing!  After that, went shopping and bought clothes again…sighz…spent most of my hard earned money on clothes!  My wardrobe is too squeezy!  Mum is goin to complain again! :p
